Xfin

Terms of Service & End User Licence Agreement

Last updated 8 August 2026

These terms cover your use of the Xfin app. They are also the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) for the purposes of the Apple App Store. By downloading or using Xfin you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Who you are agreeing with

Xfin is provided by Xfin Technologies Inc. In these terms, "Xfin", "we", "us" and "our" mean Xfin Technologies Inc. This agreement is between you and Xfin Technologies Inc. You can reach us at support@getxfin.com; a postal address for written notices will be published here before the app is released.

What Xfin is

Xfin is a personal finance tracking app. It helps you see your money and plan around it.

Xfin is not a bank, a broker, or a financial advisor. It does not hold your money, move your money, or execute any payment, transfer or trade. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Your account

Your data, and the fact it lives on your phone

Xfin stores your financial records on your device rather than on our servers. This has a consequence worth stating plainly:

If you delete the app without enabling backup, your data is gone. We cannot recover it, because we never had it. Turn on encrypted backup in Settings if that matters to you, and export your data before switching phones.

Bank connections

Connecting a bank is optional and handled by Plaid. By connecting, you authorise us to retrieve account and transaction information through Plaid on your behalf, and you agree to Plaid's own terms.

Bank data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong for reasons outside our control. Always check your bank's own records before making a decision that matters.

Fin, the assistant

Fin generates its answers using AI. That means it can be wrong. It can misread a figure, misunderstand a question, or state something confidently that isn't true.

Accuracy, and what you should not rely on

Xfin's figures are estimates built from the data available to it. Forecasts, reserve calculations, payoff timelines and affordability answers are projections, not promises. Do not use Xfin as your only source of truth for a financial decision.

What you agree not to do

Subscriptions

Paid plans are covered by the subscription terms, which form part of this agreement.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Xfin on any Apple device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. The app is licensed to you, not sold.

Apple's role

Because Xfin is distributed through the App Store, the following apply:

Availability

We aim to keep Xfin working but do not guarantee it will be available or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Ending it

You can stop using Xfin and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is being used to harm others.

Disclaimers and liability

Xfin is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for financial decisions you make using the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
